French-based Estimages SA, an innovative company specialized in advanced geostatistics for geoscience opens an office in Houston on January 9th, 2017. Why Houston? Because Estimages’ clients had strongly recommended this location and the company already has two valuable business partners established in H-town. Moreover, considered as the capital of the Oil & Gas, Houston is the place to be while getting through these difficult times of low oil prices. It cannot be denied that the Gulf of Mexico area still excites interest among researchers and industry professionals, gathering them in conferences and exhibitions where they are hundreds willing to share about the most advanced technologies and expertise for exploration and production.
In this new office, Estimages goal is to respond to American clients’ needs for geostatistical QC/filtering of seismic data, velocity modeling and related uncertainties. Indeed, when mastered, geostatistical techniques allow reducing the risks associated with the exploration and production phases, facilitating seismic interpretation and reducing depth uncertainties for drilling purposes.
Based on their successful presence in Norway with Oslo and Australia with Perth, Houston will serve as a launch pad for the spread of Estimages expertise in the Americas.
The company’s headquarters in Paris, France, will support Lara Satge in charge of the Houston office thanks to its research and development lab and its experts who have conducted over 200 studies so far.
Lara Satge is a Graduate Engineer in Petroleum Geoscience from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie in Nancy, France. She has developed her geostatistical skills among the Estimages team of Paris and will be listening to the problematics encountered by the Oil & Gas Professionals in the area of Houston.
Estimages is now looking forward to enriching the US Energy hub with its expertise and values while wishing for a long-term establishment and new valuable collaborations.
