The East Texas Oilfield Expo, which has taken place in Longview, TX since its launch in 2011, will move to Shreveport, LA in 2015 and become the Ark-La-Tex Oilfield Expo. The Ark-La-Tex Oilfield Expo takes place April 1-2, 2015 at the Shreveport Convention Center.
In addition to the need to accommodate growth, industry factors contributed to the move. Early in 2014, the prediction of increased activity in the region influenced the decision. And recently, the consistency of rig counts in the Tuscaloosa Marine and talk about a renaissance of the Haynesville Shale have solidified the need for a trade show in the area, even in the face of current oil prices.
“Right now, people are looking to save money,” said David Gershon, VP of Sales and Marketing for U.S. Tape Company. U.S. Tape Company, a manufacturer and distributor of oil tank gauging tapes, will be exhibiting in the show.
“If I can save them 20-25% over my competitor, why wouldn’t they buy my product?” Gershon said.
Evan Fleishacker, Senior Marketing Specialist with Logan Kline International, is also focused on promoting value through exhibiting. “We want to let people know if they are looking for a product that will save them time and money, which is key for 2015, that Logan International is the place and website to go to,” he said.
The show consists of 475 booths, including indoor heavy equipment space, and will open to oil and gas professionals on Wednesday, April 1st from 9 am to 5 pm and Thursday, April 2nd from 9 am to 12 pm. Complimentary admission is available online at www.Attend.ArkLaTexOilfieldExpo.com
