Phoenix Contact, an electrical and electronic technology developer will feature their new line of double-level fuse terminal blocks with certification for use in hazardous locations at the 2015 South Texas Oilfield Expo.
This new line of UT-HESI fuse blocks are certified for use in Class I, Div. 2 (CID2) areas and have multiple levels to provide pass through, fuse and ground in one terminal block. The UT series includes high pull out force, high contact force and a patented design to prevent screws from backing out during normal operation.
Alan P. Sappe’, Senior Product Specialist with Phoenix Contact USA, Inc. says a focus on reliability, functionality, and performance puts the high density UT-PE/L/HESI fuse blocks in a class by themselves.
“These special blocks have multiple levels for more density and greater space savings than typical terminal assemblies. When compared with a traditional arrangement of 3 terminal blocks (feed through, ground and fuse block), the new fuse blocks save 66% of space while delivering high reliability classifications recognized by the process oil and gas industry.”
In addition to CID2 certification, the terminal blocks also have approvals for: Class I, Zone 2, EX, IEC EX UL, cUL, AEX nA IIGc with current ratings of 20 A and 300 V UL.
Primary DSC suppliers and system integrators can see the blocks on display in booth #1407 at the 2015 South Texas Oilfield Expo. Phoenix Contact will also have information on additional oil and gas industry products, including terminal blocks, power supplies, controllers, switches, networking, and wireless products.
The 2015 show takes place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX from 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday, July 29th and from 9 am to 12 pm, Thursday, July 30th.
