The Valve World Americas Expo & Conference 2015 began today in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown (GRB) convention center.
From the looks of things, I would say the initial turnout was meeting organizers expectations. Both the lines for exhibitors and attendees were packed, but the staff did a superb job of ushering the traffic through in an expedient manner.
In oil and gas, valves play an essential role because they are used to control the flow and pressure of piping systems. With the industry having one of its most turbulent times in decades, companies use outlets like Valve World Americas Expo & Conference as a way to gain a competitive edge. Trade shows help grow brand awareness and to advertise to a target market.
The event, organized by Germany-based trade show firm Messe Düsseldorf and Canada-based KCI Publishing, is the expos third installment in Houston. The event first debuted in 2011 at the Woodlands Waterways Marriot Hotel & Convention Center but moved to GRB in 2013 to accommodate its growth.
The conference, geared towards the flow control industry, has over 150 exhibitors from the United States, Asia, Canada, Europe, India, and Mexico.
