The newly established Woodlands-based Navitas Midstream Partners LLC, stated Thursday it will begin building its first gathering and processing system plant. The new system will consist of a 20-inch gathering line to transport gas from Brazos County to Navitas’ future natural gas processing plant in Grimes County. When fully completed in the second quarter of 2015, the cryogenic processing plant will have a capacity of approximately 120 million cubic feet per day.
Navitas president and CEO R. Bruce Northcutt states, “We believe this transaction supports Navitas’ long-term strategy of building an enduring, producer-focused midstream company.”
Northcutt was previously an executive at Copano Energy LLC, which Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (NYSE: KMP) acquired in 2013, prior to starting Navitas.
